It's a crazy feeling to see the number 1000 in the top right corner of my screen!

I'd like to thank my own compulsion and way too much free time for making this happen! Also seeing other people on here getting excited about languages on here helps motivate me as well!

After 1000 days this is how well I speak my languages: Spanish: Great! I can pretty much talk about anything except brain surgery

Italian: Pretty good! I think I can small talk quite a bit

Hebrew: Not bad, I can speak about a few things. Reading is tough

Japanese: I can ask for the bathroom AND tasty ramen

Portuguese: I'll kind of steal from my Spanish vocab and hope they don't get too annoyed at me

Catalan: I didn't stick to this too well...

Esperanto: This language couldn't stay in my brain at all. All I remember is saluton...

I'll keep practicing and maybe try out a new language or two!

I grew up around native speakers which is always best. The Coffee Breaks Spanish Podcast helped a ton and it's free. I also spent some time at a Spanish language school in Costa Rica.

Congrats on keeping such a long streak! :D

What other languages do you plan to learn or improve in the future? Are you going to start any new languages at some point, or continue with the ones you're already learning?

(I always love to hear about people's future goals in language learning.)

My favorite part of learning languages is to use them while traveling. I'm hoping to visit Italy and Greece in 2018, so I better start getting my Greek in order!

Congratulations! The best part is that you seem to be enjoying the process. In my case, it's a hobby, so I really am enjoying it. Hebrew is difficult, but I think it's the most interesting of my languages. Welsh doesn't stick very well, lol. :)

Congrats! My streak is way smaller than yours and if I didn't have streak freeze on I would've lost it ages ago. Yesterday I'm certain I did my required three practices, but for some reason it only recorded two.
