So, would "only two won" be translated as something like "이 원만?"

Only two won would be written as '이 원만'

"20,000 won" is marked wrong?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Pamela909830

Yes, I keep putting that too, and it gets marked wrong. Please report that your answer should also be accepted as correct. I just reported it again. Dec. 22, 2020. I know Koreans don't always use the commas, but usually in English we do.

And 20000 won is a typo when it is missing the commar...

*comma---Koreans don't always put the commas in numbers that include thousand or ten thousand, but usually in English we do use those commas.

The translation when hovering over 원 says "circle"

Think of it as "coin" - a circle.

Where did the twenty come from when there is only the mention of the number two

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Iron_Venema

이만 means 2 * 10000 = 20000

Im not getting it, 백만 is million , now how did it become Thousand??? Can someone explain with clearer explanation??

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Pamela909830

만 = 10,000 ten thousand 백 = 100 one hundred 10,000 x 100 = 1,000,000 one million (and 천 = 1,000 one thousand)
