Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

...and feel happy but a bit empty right now. I'll continue to raise my level (which means I'll probably still post questions) and will try the German tree next. A HUGE thank you to all who helped but most notably (in no particular order) Zmrzlina, Arnauti and devalanteriel. You guys absolutely rock! A special thank you to HelenCarlsson whom I've had a pleasure of following. Greetings from Helsinki to y'all.

Grattis! I went the other way - German first, Swedish next, was delightful - English word order and hardly any endings. You could ake a look at Icelandic - it's not on Duolingo but there are resources, including Jackson Crawford's Youtube channel and https://icelandiconline.com

Compared to German, Swedish word order is more often the same as in English.

When it comes to simple inversion, however, English and Swedish are not alike and that causes a lot of trouble for many people who studies Swedish.
