You can definitely say 'I cleaned my teeth' in English, so I don't know why it isn't accepting it...

It's quite annoying as it keep marking "I have cleaned my teeth" as wrong, but certainly in British English people both clean and brush their teeth. Or at least they do in my family.

Could one also ' borstel je tanden', seeing that you do it with a 'tandenborstel'? - e.g. 'ik heb mijn tanden geborstel(d/t).' ?
