Comment dit-on.....

I'm trying to say that I like to eat a lot of (types of) food....but I don't want it to sound like I like to eat a lot (as in a large amount of) food. Since that's not what I'm trying to describe.

Would: "Il y a beaucoup de nourriture que j'aime." be correct? If yes, then let me know. If not, whether it's something small (like maybe it needs to be des nourritures) or changing the sentence all together, could you give a better example sentence.

Thank you very much.

(Additional question.....if I wanted to say "such as" or "like" or "including".....those kinds of synonyms, can I say "comme"? Or does that not work.)

A table ?

I think you should write in English. Most users are beginners here and your French is for advanced learners only (very rare here).

Yes, it's true. I ask to be excused, the hour of lunch approached, the hunger tangled my stomach, I let myself be carried away by the smells that rose from the pot. Promised, I will return to a wiser food.

XD food gets people carried away indeed. Thank you for responding anyway, Pierre. And I have time on my hands, so I've been reading your response, just because I enjoy doing that kind of thing. I am glad a got a reply in English too, though. I really enjoy French......also if anyone was wondering, I'm not actually whatever level it looks like I am. This is my secondary Duolingo account I use for asking questions because my actual Duolingo account is linked to a classroom that blocks the discussion. :( Which I don't use a whole lot anyway but it quite useful when I do need it.

Honestly, I had felt in the writing of your message a maturity which allowed me to give an emphatic answer. Just as if I had received you at my table, I would not have served a hamburger but I would have « mis les petits plats dans les grands ».

First you have to know that the word "nourriture" is hardly ever used in France. It is good for statisticians and animals, not so for "la cuisine française".

For individual foods: il y a beaucoup d'aliments que j'aime / j'aime beaucoup d'aliments.

To give examples of what you like: j'aime les fruits/légumes comme/dont les bananes/les artichauts (artichokes).
