This sentence sounds very odd in English. I am not sure why ducks would be insecure about a rhinoceros' clothing.

Indeed. I assume onzeker can be insecure or unsure, depending on context (like the German unsicher). In this context it is clearly unsure. Can some native Dutch speaker confirm this?
