So I was doing the object lesson and I came across the words "Cam" and "Bardak". Both mean glass, but I was wondering in what instance would you use each in?

Like how are they used?

Thanks in advance for the help

  • "cam": A hard, transparent material, used to make windows, bottles, and other objects.

  • "bardak": A drinking container made from glass. A small container for drinks made of glass or similar material, with a flat base and usually with no handle.

"bardak" can be steely as well ("çelik bardak"), so there's another phrase "cam bardak" to clarify it's made of glass.
