Why are German words sometimes in different order when you put them in English

Because that is the way German is. Germans could ask why is the order in English different from ours.

German, French and some other languages are fairly close to English, so their words orders are similar. The more different the languages is the more different the word order, Like Japanese or Arabic to English. There are some language which have a similar word order to English but aren't related like Chinese, but it is just a coincidence.
