I've been waiting weeks for the new tree! Does anyone know when the A/B test will be applied to everybody? The wait is really getting silly.

Sorry for the long wait, but it will probably be at least another month. The Duolingo staff told me recently to expect 2 to 4 months of A/B testing.

Apparently they discard the data from the first few weeks, because the retention rates need to stabilize. :(

Oh man, that's ridiculous. Shame they're taking so long. Thanks for letting me know, though, I'm looking forward to enjoying what I'm sure is great work from your whole Dutch team!

You could try signing up for a new account. You might get lucky and get the new tree.

Is there a way to recognize if I'm on the old or new tree?

The new tree has a Belgium skill at the end, I think.

There is one NL and two BE lessons in the end of "my" tree.

Then you must have the new tree. (I myself don't have it, but I did take a sneak-peek.)

If you get the new tree, there should be a message at the top of the tree saying something like "Notice anything different?". (And the others are right too, the new tree has two NL and one BE skill at the bottom.)

Hmm, as I'm pretty new to Duolingo (45 days) and my Dutch tree always looked like that I guess I wouldn't notice the difference so they didn't show me the message ;-) And yes I do have two NL and one BE at the end of the tree (not the opposite as I wrote initially - I've checked now). Anyway thanks for the information.

Count the leaves! If it's sixty-something, it's the old tree. If it's 122, it is definitely the new one.

Definitely well over 100. All signs show I'm on the new tree :-)

Ah, okay. The message only shows up for "old" users. :) Glad everything is sorted out!
