I can't deactivate my account
Ola! I cannot deactivate my account, and if anyone could tell me how to and why this isn't working, that would be great. Thank you!
It does what it sounds like - your account stops being active. Your username shows up as "[deactivated user]" in the forums, you don't get any reminder emails or notifications, etc.
You can re-activate your account by logging in - I'm guessing you're logging in to see whether your account is active, and activating it in the process.
Since you're asking for help using the site, could you move this post to the Troubleshooting forum? Your post is likely to get a lot more attention there, because that's where the people who are willing to help with this sort of problem hang out. It will also help keep this forum easy to navigate for those who aren't part of the troubleshooting group.
