I am in my late 60's and have been very near-sighted since age 6. I have a cataract in one eye and had surgery in the other for cataract. This means that I have a lot of difficulty seeing the writing on the wallpaper. Especially when I have an answer wrong and need to look at the correct way to do it. The writing is small but the real problem is that the green on green is extremely difficult to see. I realize space constraints mean the writing cannot be larger, but if the color difference could be sharper, maybe I wouldn't have a headache after practice. Thanks.
Yes, this is really awful. Also for younger people without eye issues.
Please, write a bug report to the staff via the Duolingo Help Center
I don't think it's a bug, though. It's exactly how the website designers meant it to look, even though it's not a good idea. Hopefully they'll realize soon enough from all the discussion complaints.
Chaterlaine has clearly decribed a serious bad design of the web page, that causes headaches. It is good to write this to the staff in a personal report.
