Why is "La date de ma requête est le 15 mars" considered wrong?

Perhaps Duo doesn't recognize numerals as opposed to written numbers?

Agree - duo wants to know that you know the French word for "15". :)

I always confuse demande with commande. Could someone please explain the difference for me? Merci!

I use "demande" when asking a question for which I do not have an answer. I use "commande" when ordering or purchasing an item.
