In the spirit of double negation, shouldn't "nemáme nic čist" be accepted?

When I got this wrong it said the right translation was nemaji co cist but when I wrote nemaji co cist, it said the right translation was nemame co cist

There is no nemají in sight anywhere...

what is wrong with, nemame nic co čist?

It just doesn't work. If you want to use "nic", you could say "Nemáme nic na čtení" (lit. We have nothing for reading), but it's more complicated than "Nemáme co číst".
