Why the use of 다녀료 over 가요? Does the meaning change?

다니다 is a weird verb to get used to, since we don't have an equivalent. It means to go out somewhere (that you go semi-frequently or often), so apparently these people go to that hotel a lot. When I go to band practice or the gym, I leave the house saying 다녀오겠습니다, as in "I'll go out (to a place I go normally) and come back."
