Almost all coding languages are based on English. You may need to know the local language if using VBA as (for example) Excel forumlae are localised. It also helps to know your clients' language(s) and if something needs to be multilingual to take that into account from the start rather than converting it later.

Java seems to have some staying power. PERL and Python come to mind but I haven't coded in quite a while and it is possible they have fallen into disuse. :P

Nothing other than English really stands out. I used to do a little work with a now-defunct French Linux company because I could read French better than people who were better at coding than I was.
