how one can read high valyrian sentences? the structure doesn't follow any grammar logic. is/are is always ate the end, compound sentences are very confusing.
I am trying to learn but it doesn't follow any grammar logic like in English
It's hard to get used to that. Something I've started doing which has helped me, is writing on paper the sentence and the translation. Like if I need to translate "Aztantys iksan" I would write:
Azantys iksan - I am a knight.
I would also write down all the words I learn and their translations as well which has helped me as well.
Hope that helps. I don't know how others have got used to it, but this definitely helped me. Takes some time to get used to the different grammar though. Let me know if you have any questions.
I'm no linguistic expert and only started learning HV, but here is my take: It's similar to Arabic and some other languages, and differs from English, in that you can't entirely figure out the parts of the sentence from their order. Instead, there are elements tacked onto the words that help you to know if that word is, for instance, the subject of the sentence, a direct object, or an indirect object.
