Good job for your first try! There are some errors, but I can understand what you are trying to say. Let me correct your text and give some tips! :)

"Johannes is een boek aan het lezen. Zijn moeder kijkt tv. Het is koud buiten, want het is winter, en Johannes ligt binnen op zijn bed. Johannes is moe en wil slapen. Hij eet zijn ontbijt en gaat met de auto naar school. In de school is het niet koud. Johannes gaat naar huis en kijkt tv. Om half een gaat hij naar zijn slaapkamer en gaat hij slapen."

  • Your word order is good! Keep it up!
  • Take a closer look at the conjugation of the verbs. :)
  • To make the story a bit more natural, you can try to use some (more) conjunction words. Maybe you didn't learn them yet (that's completely fine!), but that could be a nice next step in learning!

If you have any questions, please ask! :)

I agree with Merrie, good job =) One additional thing I noticed is your use of possessive pronouns (in case you don't know: possessive pronouns indicate to whom an object belongs). In Dutch you use "zijn" for 3rd person singular (single male) instead of "hij" (regular pronoun for 3rd person singular male). So "his mother/bed/house" would become "zijn moeder/bed/huis". Merrie already changed it in her correction but I thought I'd point out the reason for that =)

Keep up the good work! =)
