Note to new users

I wish the website would make a giant announcement or something since almost no one seems to know this, but if you feel your answer should be accepted, or you want to make a suggestion about the English sentence, or whatever, you have to click the flag that pops up after you click "Check" to make a proper report that the creators will see. Leaving comments everywhere about these kinds of things is not helping them or you. Comments are for comprehension discussions, possible translation "disputes" for lack of a better word, and making bad jokes of course. Reports actually reach the creators. Use the flag. When in doubt, flag. Flag.

Flag.

The problem with the "flag" is that there is no opportunity for written input and the appropriate choice is not always available. I find it interesting that the choices are not always the same as far as the type of notification allowed. The issues are numerous. I can understand the fact that many possible answers have not yet been considered, and the "flag" is excellent for offering new possibilities, but the English answers are often poorly worded and that option is not always available to check.

Even if that's the case (which if it is, it's Duolingo's problem), there is always a comment option. I've written several myself. It's not hard.

I must be missing something. I went to the post regarding how to make comments, and saw that there is supposed to be space for a comment, but for some reason my screen doesn't look the same. I have only perceived multiple-choice options so far. On a positive note, I did just come upon a problem that asked for a translation into hangul. And when I've gone back to refresh the tree, it seems like there has already been some improvement.

That's bizarre if you're not seeing comments...looks like more site maintenance is needed :(

Huzzah for improvements

https://www.duolingo.com/comment/24887752 Since I haven't been able to make written comments directly on the lessons, I am compiling notes and posting them on the above forum (posts on the first 2 units so far). Hopefully someone on the team will reference them and take notice. I appreciate all the work they have done, and the fact they are responding to suggestions, but wish I could communicate directly.
