Questions about sentences from the song Diary of Dreams - Traumtänzer

I'm trying to learn more from songs I like which are in Germen. At this point I understand most of the connections between the words but my vocabulary is of course lacking. However there are a few sentences I do understand literally but I don't understand why they mean something else or different.

"Die Zeit steht still in diesem Raum" - "The time stands still in this room" is the literal translation. When I read translations of this song they sometimes translate this sentence to "The time stands still in here." How does "this room" translate to "in here". Is it an incorrect translation or "diesem Raum" can be translated to in here as well? "Es steht die Luft hier in der Schwebe" - "The air is suspended" is the literal translation (according to google translate).

I didn't know what "Schwebe" meant before checking so I'm a bit more lost here. According to my dictionary it means "balance". How does balance turns to suspended? The dictionary also mentions that "in der Schwebe sein" is something akin to "hang in the air" or "to be in the melting point".

One of the translations I found translates "Schwebe" to "oblivion". I'm kinda confused on what this word means and how it's meaning is altered in sentences.

In case you are wondering what the rest of the lyrics are you can find them at https://genius.com/Diary-of-dreams-traumtanzer-lyrics

in der Schwebe is neither on the floor nor really flying, still undecided whether going up or down, forward or back.. Call it "floating", that's what schweben means. Since you are "In diesem Raum" as well, it equals "in here" in this case.

That's poetry for you, man, where the definitions of words have a wider margin, more space for interpretation

"Die Zeit steht still in diesem Raum" - "The time stands still in this room" is the literal translation. When I read translations of this song they sometimes translate this sentence to "The time stands still in here." How does "this room" translate to "in here". "stands still in here" is already a kind of interpretation or over-interpretation. So, "in this room" is more accurate.

"Es steht die Luft hier in der Schwebe" - "The air is suspended" is the literal translation (according to google translate). It's a rare verbalisation.

In this context, it seems to back up and intensify the sentence "Die Zeit steht still in diesem Raum". The time stands so still that even the air and wind is not moving.

But "In der Schwebe sein/hängen" normally means that something is not decided yet.

And "schweben" can also be translated as "to levitate".

Maybe you could translate "in der Schwebe" with "in abeyance".?

By the way there is a German proverb: "Es ist noch nicht in Sack und Tüten." = "to be done and dusted" ...This is also a description of "in der Schwebe". : )
