"Dându-mi o verighetă, iubitul meu m-a cerut de soție."

Translation:Giving me a wedding ring, my boyfriend asked me to marry him.

Technically "asked me to marry him" is " mi-a cerut să mă căsătoresc cu el". A better translation for "el m-a cerut de soție" would be "he asked me to be his wife"
