losing a friend

hi. I made a friend through clubs comments but sadly I didn't get any outter contact of him. the problem is that I left that club thinking that I can get back when I want but now I can't because I don't know the code. is there any possible thing to do even if it costs money?!

It's OK, just a small netiquette faux pas! Unfortunately (in my opinion) the more social element of Duolingo, the activity stream has been removed. According to the Duolingo guidelines (https://www.duolingo.com/guidelines) non-language related posts are spam and a discussion as the one proposed would fall into that category, no less because there is no guarantee of it being effective. I am sure you have noticed all kinds of posts being made in the forums and being downvoted to oblivion even before a moderator takes action.
As a moderator myself, I have to say, take a couple of minutes to read the guidelines, they are enforced evangelically but people often find themselves unaware of them. :)

will she receive a notification or something?

Actually creating a discussion solely for that purpose is considered spam. If you know the username, you can access her profile by typing https://www.duolingo.com/username. However, Duolingo no longer provides a messaging tool (commenting on the Activity stream) so it will still be a issue to communicate with her directly and ask for the club code.

Thank you, I didn't know that netiquette applied on DL. I've only been here 40 days :o). No offense intended and I hope ahmed doesn't get into trouble because of my suggestion.

You can follow her (click the green button under her name) and then, if she has the relevant email notification activated, she will get an email that you have followed her. As far as I can tell this is the best way to make her aware that you're getting in touch.
