Where is the subject? This sentence is correct because it's missing the word 歯。

i think it's meant to be ここで歯をみがかないでください but because they didn't use the kanji it can be misread as kokodewa and having no subject

Bingo. I think Duolingo has created a little problem with their strict adherence to avoiding kanji. Maybe they could add spaces after a particle.
