What language is this song sung in?

[deactivated user]

A friend is looking for the language this song is sung in.

Please ignore the pretty distracting images... just... focus on the song :)

I have tried extensively to search with the little knowledge I have, but have not been able to discover the language used in the song.

    Much appreciated!

Vietnamese? Somewhere in Southeast Asia would be my guess.

I asked a non-native Vietnamese language learner, but he tells me Vietnamese doesn't sound like that. Thank you for your input!

I saw the replied below there is someone said it is khmer language.

Indeed, but I've listened to a few Khmer songs, and the language doesn't sound the same.

I've helped to ask around a bit. Apparently it is not: Vietnamese, Burmese, Thai - the 3 which were my guesses. Yes, I think it is a language used in SE Asia too.

The song is not recognised by SoundHound nor Shazam either, so I'm out of ideas.

Based on the melody of the song and the use of it on the images, I'm guessing it's a love song, so I've tried to look up "love" in different languages too, but to no avail.

The images are from a Korean show, but the song is not in Korean. Thank you for trying.

Will follow the thread and ask around. I actually know an italian musical teacher in Beijing, that would know who would know, but unfortunately YouTube services are blocked in China.

Thought I could trust the IMDB datasheet.

              Thank you I appreciate that!

Meanwhile, off topic, speaking of images to match with music, here is the gangster-comedy clip, I could not show my friend in China.

It is a burglary in the Royal Danish Theatre, syncronized with a classical Orchestral piece of music.

Thank you all, I finally confirmed the language, it is Khmer.
