人 pronuciation / reading / writing.

はじめまして私わサウロです。

I've been studying japanese for almost 7 days, recently I've learned the kanji "人", in duolingo they say it's wrote and pronounced "じん", but I found it in a different way : "ひと".

What's the difference between them?

The former (じん, also にん) is the on (Chinese) reading, the latter (ひと) is the kun (Japanese) reading.

ひと is the original Japanese word for person. じん is how the Japanese pronounce it in borrowed Chinese words with that character.
