I finished my Guaraní (Jopará) Tree!!!
How does Guaraní compare with Spanish and Portuguese?
How easy or difficult was it for to learn it?
Sequential? In parallel?
Keep rocking! Wish you finishing many more trees on DuoLingo ;)
What OmegaGmaster says is true, Guaraní is very different to Spanish in Portuguese, many words are from Spanish, like: líbro, pan, diário, tren, etc. But the rest is from the Tupi-Guaraní language family. But once you know the grammatics, vocabulary and pronunciation, it will be pretty easy to learn.
I haven't studied Guaraní, but I can assure you Guaraní is completely different from Spanish and Portuguese. Guaraní might have Spanish loanwords, but it's also highly agglutinative and nasal, unlike Spanish and Portuuese.
Felicitări! It seems that you're working very hard on learning languages, so here are a few lingots!
Mult noroc! ;)
Congrats Patrick! You're still hard at work learning so many languages! Very admirable.
What did you like the most about Guarani? I did some lessons and I liked conjugation and nasal harmony.
What I liked the most, was the pronunciation of words, there's no other language I know that has the same pronunciation of Guaraní.
Wow, congratulations! My Spanish is not even good enough to pass the first checkpoint!
Congratulations! ★(*^- ^)⌒☆
Wow! Congrats! Guarani was way too hard for me; I gave up after finishing Basics 1. But amazing achievement! Congratulations!
Here's some pizza for you:
I am actually from Paraguay and I know guarani. It is actually not the original guarani that people used to speak in the jungle but it is pretty close.
