duolingo is the best site and app anyone can use. It's really helped me to improve on my french.

No it's not. Memrise is good, but duolingo is by far better.

i think we'll have to agree to disagree on that, the main reason i like memrise better is because they at least pretend to care about their community... also you can make your own courses whenever and however you want so you're not just restricted to the small amount of courses the developers have chosen like on duo

Ce site a l'air bien, je vais a l'essayer. Duo est très utile pour des débutants mais n'est pas avancé, il faut qu'on utilisé d'autres applications pour maîtriser la langue.

yah it really has i am now 14% fluent in french

it has flaws. it stops updating the percentage after a certain point. yesterday and today it told me that i was 60 percent bilingual BUT it did not update the percent that is displayed on the page where the language tree is displayed. it still shows only 50 percent AND there is no tech support to help with this. I prefer other language learning sites not because I can't accurately monitor my progress and I use Duolingo everyday.

Duolingo is good. It may have its flaws, but if used the right way, it can really help people learn another language
