Plurals in Welsh

Are there any plural rules in Welsh?

There are some common patterns, but they all have exceptions. The most common endings are -au, -iau, but someone told me that they only cover about 20% of plurals - I have no idea of how accurate that might be.

The best approach is to look up and learn the plurals of nouns, and their genders, as you meet the words for the first time.

Aren't some words already plural and it's the singular you need to learn, as well? Plant and plentyn, for example?

Yes, but you can just learn that as plentyn being singular and plant being plural as you would with any other word rather then making it complicated.

Love complication! Blue - glas. Plural - gleision. Well, it's not a widely used form but there are more.

I was just reading a post that said that many adjectives used to have plural and feminine forms though they are mostly a relic of the past. https://www.duolingo.com/comment/27031668
