Translation:At the farm there are neither fish nor birds.
At the farm there are neither fish nor fowl. Correct, or not?
It sounds better. But "neither fish nor fowl" is an English idiomatic expression (that used to be "neither fish nor flesh nor fowl," which would likewise be alliterative in Dutch: "noch vissen noch vlezen noch vogels").
A fowl is a bird but a bird is not necessarily a fowl!
