New Duolingo Feature - Achievements!
I just came on here and found out about the new Duolingo feature - achievements! How many others have this new feature, and when did you get it?
What do you think of it? I'm glad Duolingo is improving, and I think things like this make people practice more etc. These new things make Duolingo 'funner' too!
It's an A/B test. I got achievements, but I can't view them on my profile.
And a weird A/B test at that. I got it on the phone, but not on the web. So I'm in the "no achievements on web" group, but still got achievements, so I don't see how the data could even tell them anything. It wouldn't make me use one device more or less than the other, because what I do on the web still registers on the app when I use it the next time.
"Friendly - Invite a friend to join you on Duolingo". I don't see the point when I can't even talk to those friends after I invite them???
I agree.I don't get why I should even invite a friend because there's no point! You'd think that the reason you should invite a friend is so that you can talk to them on duolingo in the language you've learned or share what you've learned with them or even help them out if your ahead of them and their struggling.
You used to be able to talk to people through your "blog" or whatever the thing was that you could post your achievements on was....
yeah, they should have never got rid of activity...oh well, you can talk to friends on the forums...
banners that take more time from drilling and yield nothing. another crock from duolingo, still focusing in the gaming and not on the learning of languages.
I think it's clever to make Duolingo like a game. it certainly attracts younger learners who would otherwise stay clear of such a programme.
Just had this feature added on web! I thought I never noticed it until now, glad to see I wasn't crazy. I quite like it, makes me want to work hard!
how do you invite someone in order to learn the achievement oof inviting a friend to duolingo...I don't get how to do that
