Hi, Does anyone know of any websites or books that would help understand French vocabulary??? I checked out a book by Laura Lawless on some French basics and it has been helpful, but if anyone knew of anything else it would be very helpful!!! Merci beaucoup, Pickled_Pie
One of the the most helpful books when you are starting out is this one:
I also found this small book to be incredibly helpful:
A good site for practising is : https://conjuguemos.com/
I will leave one tip about sentence structure: It is like english. English structure is SVO and so is french. SVO is subject, verb, object. But with adjectives you don't say noir chat for black cat you say chat noir
Hi, you could use http://readlang.com/ and upload any book or text, then if you don't know a word just click on it and you'll be given the translation above it and a dictionary definition at the side.
It's easier to learn books that way and it also keeps the words you click stored so you can practice them in flash cards.
