Sick of the download bugs in Duo Plus
Look, I am happy to support Duolingo with the monthly fee - after all it's a great learning resource, and I find it only fair to pay you for your work. However, I am sick of the lesson download bugs. (iOs here) Most of the time a download would try to start but never finish. Other times, all previous downloads are simply gone. Honestly, that sucks. Fix this!
And while we're at it: this whole business around downloading lessons one by one is just not user friendly at all. I want to be able to simply download all the lessons in one fell swoop on my mobile - as long as there is enough space on my phone that should not be any issue.
I get it, you probably want to prevent that people subscribe for one month, download everything and then cancel the subscription. If that's the case, that shouldn't be your customer's problem! Find another solution of how to make it more user friendly for your paying customers. Find a way to allow a full download of a language for a PLUS customer and make sure the downloads don't inactivate themselves for no apparent reason (as it seems to be the case today).
Can you even strengthen skills in offline mode?
I heard that you can only re-do lessons???
Here in Israel, Duo is offering us Duolingo Plus for an unknown sum, written in Arabic. Why? No idea.
I can not play when is offline. I paid it. I can not solve this problem. just only play when is internet connect. very disappointed.
I have the same complaints about PLUS. I travel frequently and don't always have an internet or data connection - so I was quite disappointed to find that I could not download multiple levels to complete while traveling. I think that they could license the software to expire if not subscribed and the subscription goes thirty days past due or something. It was frustrating to have downloaded PLUS and then find out that you're still required to go online.
