How many Hanzi?
Thank you so much, team Chinese! The course is amazing and as you see, I cannot stop learning because I love it so much. I never planned to study Chinese, but your course convincedme to give it a try and fell in love immediately.
I just have a short question: how many characters does the course teach?
Wow, that’s a lot! I’m impressed that you were so ambitious (half way to HSK4, wow!) and I’m happy to hear that you’ll be adding Traditional Characters later on (although I really should take some time now to learn to read Simplified Characters).
I really hope that you’ll also add more Kanji to your Japanese course. That course has so much unrealized potential.
I agree with FilipFilip17, 1000 is amazing amount of effort! Thanks so much to you and rest of team :D
Hello :) I have a question, will the Japanese course get updated anytime soon, too? Because it seems so much shorter than the Chinese course, which has about 88 lessons, while Japanese has only 40... Unless it covers the same amount of material? I haven't finished any of those courses yet so I don't know
Also if u want to learn traditional chinese characters, check out
it took a day to kick in for mine, but it works!!
Actually HSK 6 covers about 2,600 characters. Duolingo has about 1,000 at this point.
Yep, 2600 is the amount you need to be able to read almost everything. According to most sources, there are 3500 characters total but with 2000 you can read 99.5% of the Chinese on products, in books, etc.
