Missing topics in Hungarian from English ...
What I painfully miss in Hungarian from English are grammar informations and lessons about - indefinite person (like the German "man") - future tense - imperative - conditional / subjunctive - adverbs - comparative / superlative (adjectives)
To learn the new words and more grammar (future tense - imperative - conditional) you should try the reverse course, it's really good!
I looked up what would be the equivalent of the German "man". Usually, use the plural/3 conjugation and drop the subject, or use "az ember".
Future tense: Use the verb "fog" with the right conjugation + an infinitive verb.
Én enni fogok = I will eat
Te enni fogsz = you will eat
Ő enni fog = he/she will eat
mi enni fogunk = we will eat
ti enni fogtok = you will eat
ők enni fognak =they will eat
inni fogok = I will drink
látni fogok = I will see
menni fogok = I will go
It is a similar construction as in English, fog plays the role of will.
It can be tricky with preverbs:
Bemegyek a szobába = I enter the room.
Be fogok menni a szobába = I will enter the room.
comparative / superlative (adjectives)
Usually, comparative: adj+bb, superlative leg+ adj + bb
meleg, melegebb, legmelegebb =war, warmer, warmest
hideg, hidegebb, leghidegebb = cold, colder, coldest
új, újabb, legújabb = new, newer, newest
there are some irregular ones:
szép, szebb, legszebb = beautiful, more beautiful, most beautiful
kicsi, kisebb, legkisebb = small, smaller, smallest
Examples: Ő szebb mint én = She is more beautiful than me
A szék kisebb mint az asztal = the chair is smaller than the table.
