How do you explain who sings a song?
Is it correct to say 'La chanson 'Aller plus haut' DE Tina Arena'? or would you use PAR?
It seems to me that par is used all the time to connect a piece of work with its creator... After reading your comment I did a quick search and found this website: http://www.oeuvres-art.com. Both de and par have been used in descriptions and there doesn't seem to be a clear reason why one is favoured over the other. For example, these two phrases: a) "Une célèbre peinture de 1964 par le peintre surréaliste belge René Magritte.", b)"Guernica est une oeuvre cubiste de Pablo Picasso." Is that a mistake? Could you please explain usage a bit more?
