"小心过马路!"
Translation:Be careful when you cross the road!

Ok. But the English sees it differently. That's why a translation can never be done word-for-word, you see, when the English says "No crossing", it definitely applies to roads, avenues, highways, streets, alleys, etc... And it can also say No crossing here. Unlike the Chinese could say 请不要穿越,謝謝。。。Allthis to say that all translations should be considered by Birdie Duo...

On previous tests, "小心" is given as "watch out". In this test, "watch out" isn't allowed, and only "be careful" accepted. Reported 12th November 2018.

Both are possible, though (in Taiwan at least) 路 is generally bigger than 街 (whereas I don't think there is a difference in size between road and street in English).

In Singapore/Malaysia, we would usually say " Be careful when xxxxxxx" Hence my answer " Be careful when crossing the road" is accepted 15 Jan 2021.
If the "when" is omitted, the English sentence sounds a little weird to me. Eg. Be careful eating fish Be careful driving car Be careful crossing road.
Somehow if the word " when" is inserted after careful, it renders the sentences sound more grammatically correct to my ear.
