Translation:Be careful when you cross the road!
Thanks for reporting. They seem to have completely ignored your feedback though! I answered the same and it was 'incorrect'
This answer is still not accepted. The "when" that they want in the sentence ("Be careful when crossing the road.") is superfluous. Reported.
Here again, this so common phrase has so many possible translations, you just have to accept them all. 他媽的！
Ok. But the English sees it differently. That's why a translation can never be done word-for-word, you see, when the English says "No crossing", it definitely applies to roads, avenues, highways, streets, alleys, etc... And it can also say No crossing here. Unlike the Chinese could say 请不要穿越，謝謝。。。Allthis to say that all translations should be considered by Birdie Duo...
Be careful crossing the road.....so frustrating to screw around with English variations when I'm trying to learn Chinese...is anybody listening?
On previous tests, "小心" is given as "watch out". In this test, "watch out" isn't allowed, and only "be careful" accepted. Reported 12th November 2018.
"Street" and "road" were both offered as choices. Yet only "road" is correct.
Both are possible, though (in Taiwan at least) 路 is generally bigger than 街 (whereas I don't think there is a difference in size between road and street in English).
"Be careful crossing the road." still not accepted. Reported 10th November 2018.
