Doesn't the time expression normally come first or second rather than last? Should "我们两个月练习了" be correct too?

A time phrase that answers "when" goes before the verb, but a time phrase that answers "for how long" goes after, generally speaking.

That's a really good link, especially for their clear explanation of 了 in time phrases.

I think we can say 我們練習两个月了.

That's what I'm thinking, too.

I think so too, but I am not sure.
