Translation:My home is on the south side of the park.
To me, "My home is south of the park" is a much more natural construction.
"My home is on the south side of the park" implies that you live in the park, on the south side. The better translation of 公园南边 is "south of the park".
"My house is south of the park"/"in the south of the park" is not accepted, why? This entire lesson is so messy, I swear. It keeps insisting "is on the __ side of" (which sounds highly unnatural) for everything and any other translation is ruled out.
It is so wordy. Why write "is on the south side of" when you can just write "south of"?
"My home is south of the park" is accepted but I believe it should be made the default translation.
We all agree it is so messy.. And the Duolingo "team" doesn't do ❤❤❤❤ about it....
