No, they normally don't, but it's not wrong to add one either. If you wrote the sentence without the 的 it should be accepted.
I think they are trying to reinforce the grammatical use of "de"
As Duo is an owl, technically "不喜欢飞" should be acceptable. ;-)
Pronunciation of the 'ji' at the end of the sentence is incorrect, I think.
Does anyone else notice that when the male Chinese voice says 喜欢 it always sounds like "xǐ what" not "xǐ huan".
