German Level In Duolingo (CERFL)
It has been a few days since I've started to learn German in Duolingo, and I want to know what's the CEFRL level studies I can reach to by this site: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2? Thanks for the answers.
Welcome to Duolingo!!
It is generally said that the Duolingo course alone will get you to about an A2 or maybe a low B1 in reading, A2 in writing, and A1 in listening. Speaking is up to you - if you practice a lot you could reach A1.
I've not done the German course, only French and Spanish, and those estimates hold true for those two courses.
Duolingo won't get you anywhere close to fluent (the courses only teach about 2000 words) but they give you a super foundation that allows you to move on to other resources (books, news sites, YouTube videos, music, language exchanges w/other people, etc.) if you want to achieve fluency.
I think you are being overly generous with your language skill evaluation. To attain b1 certification, you require a passive as well as active vocabulary of at least 2800 words. I have completed 4750 lessons and my current word count is 2771. Dou is a great introduction language course as well s as a supplement to a primary course, but not a very good primary course since it does not address verbal communication
