Can the annoying patronising comments from Duo on the app be removed please?

At least an option to remove them in the settings. It doesn't add anything more than a degree of irritation and an extra few clicks to the lesson.

Go to settings and turn off "motivational messages". BTW I like them.

Actually I like to see things like You're working hard and learning new words, Congrats for 10 in a row, You're the best and so on.

There's no such option on iOS. It's Android only.

Hi HerrArbo,

could you share some examples and/or screenshot here?
I'm just curious about what are those messages as I'm not using the apps.

Pls remember DL is for all ages, be big and ignore it if it offends you so much, just be glad you're getting all this for free. I personally enjoy these totally inoffensive motivational messages. Thanks DL.

Ah. I didn't realize that because it's free we were supposed to silently take whatever's thrust at us. I'm one who doesn't use the app for several reasons, and the patronizing owl is one of them.

Maybe it is an A/B test and some of us get the motivational messages and some get the patronizing owl. I wonder if anything qualifies us to be in the first group or in the later ;)

The OP has asked only that an option already present on Android be added to iOS. Hardly seems grounds for a tongue lashing.
