Two Month Streak and Duold and Thoughts

Hello! A few days ago I reached a two month streak! I'll talk about what I think of Duolingo, what I've achieved, and anything else I have opinions on related to language learning.

Duolingo is a language learning website with a game mixed with every lesson. It's a neat way to learn how to speak other languages, and works really well.

I've been using Duolingo for two months now and I like the course structure. There are sections to unlock with increasing difficulty and vocabulary, and it teaches a lot. The testing out allows more advanced learners to use tree shortcuts.

Duolingo is one of the best ways to learn a language. There are facts about your progress and improvement everywhere on your homepage; the quality is good and the site is very motivational.

Currently, I've gotten few of the new achievements and have 30946 lingots. My fluency is increasing (it's inaccurate though) and I've leveled up quite a bit.

I've completed about half of the French tree, and I can say quite a few things; the basics are enough for further learning to be easy and I can now actually make a short conversation!

I've completed about one third to one half of the Chinese tree. I have learned this language already and the course is still in beta, so it doesn't work too well and is a bit non-motivational. However, once it is stable, I'm sure we'll all be able to learn a lot!

Duolingo is a wonderful site. It has allowed me to review and practice everyday. I have been using it for only two months, learning every single day of those two months.

It's a wonderful experience and is a good way to learn a new language.

Keep learning!

just wondering, did you get most of those lingots from the Lingot Leprechaun?

Yup. I think Felix Ulvensen posted the name first, as far as I'm concerned.

I use my lingots mainly for learning and giving out. Great question though!

nice going, well done!

PS: you have an insane amount of lingots; that is ten times as many as I have, and I've been around for a while!

Thank you! And the Lingots were mainly from the Lingot Leprechaun, a creature inside Duolingo's site.

You've just read a piece of "How I spend my time on Duolingo" essay for a school assignment.

Wrong. Unless you were complimenting me. I thought this up myself.

I don't use Duolingo for school.

Yeah....that was sarcasm. I ment that if this is not for school (and Duolingo isn't) then nobody cares about how you spend your days untill it's helpful and related to language learning. But i get it...you've started using a new site, you liked it and you wanted to share your feelings with others. :) There's only one thing....you're telling stuff about Duolingo on Duolingo's forum where people already know all that. That's why I thoughs that this could also be placed somwhere else for people who don't know about Duolingo. ;))

It's mostly about being proud of my achievements.

I don't think you get it. I'm sharing the thoughts from my experience on Duolingo. This is a current kind of way I see Duolingo; the best place to share current findings is along with something else.

Great streak BTW!

Perhaps I should make another thread where I talk about my 100 days streak?

I started on 8-8-19 in Menorca. I'm 240 days Duold so 125 days until I'm 1 year Duold.
