Yeah, i think that sounds more natural too, but if you separate the sentence out, it sounds weird: "their is meat, there ARE vegetables, there is fish". Idk what is technically right, but it probably doesn't matter too much, because English is a terrible language. :)

    Isn't 菜 too vague for vegetables? Wouldn't 蔬菜 be more accurate?
