Question on Plurality and Singulars

Dia Duit, fellow Irish learners! I was just wondering how to tell when a word is in plural form, because I have not seen (so far) any clear pattern. Can anyone help me?

There are several patterns. You should have a regular textbook if you plan to learn Irish -- NOT just Duolingo! -- and that book should have a section on plurals. I suggest Gramadach Gan Stró. It has pages of plurals.

Oops -- that book is written in Irish, so perhaps not very helpful for you right now. Try Essential Irish Grammar: Teach Yourself.

Just a small point, but as you are specifically asking about plurals, and you address your question to "learners", plural, your greeting should be Dia daoibh, rather than Dia duit.
