From English to Dutch
Hi guys! Just asking for some tips with learning Dutch from Dutch-speaking people, since I am new to Duolingo and Dutch! Thanks a lot, Olivia Jones
Hi Olivia, welcome to the Dutch course!
Learning a language can be challenging, but also a lot of fun! Don't be discouraged if you don't understand thing or if you think it is too difficult for you! It is often not as difficult as it seems (and repetition works!)

If you have questions don't hesitate to post a discussion or ask a question in one of the sentence discussions. There are many lovely people who are willing to help you!
And most of all, have fun!
I'm a native EN-US speaker but I've done both Dutch trees (1.0 and 2.0) as well as the reverse Dutch tree. My tip: don't learn just the nouns. Learn the definite article with it. In other words, don't teach yourself that "raam" = window. Learn it as "het raam" = the window. This will be very useful. Trust me. ;) Good luck!
Hey Olivia! I hope you like the course.
As for any tips and tricks, what has always helped me in learning languages is in trying to feel the meaning of the word in the target language. In other words, ask yourself: "How does this word make me feel?" Find that emotion and hopefully it'll help the word sick better.
Also, immerse yourself in Dutch as much as possible (here's to you, YouTube).
And just like what xMerrie said, have fun!
Hello, Olivia Jones! Well your in the English learning part of Duolingo so thein may not be dutch people here. But there are more advance learners that can give you tips and tricks.
