To me (native AmE), "How far is it to the CATS' museum?" sounds like you're asking about the museum that's owned by cats.

"How far is it to the CAT museum?" works fine in English. "How far is it to the CATS museum?" (no apostrophe) might also be used, though (to me) using just "cat" seems best. Those may or may not be among the accepted translations.
