On regular speed the recording says, "Lei MI ha scritto due libri." On slow speed and in the printed version, there is no 'MI'. I made this comment earlier and reported it also. I got an email notification that someone else agreed with this but when I clicked on the box to link back to this comment stream, it was empty. I then came back onto duolingo to redo the lesson and try to find the offending question again, which I have and, sure enough, it showed no comments. I know there were two: mine and Marziotta's. Where did they go?

They probably deleted the sentence (and its thread with it) reuploaded it and... there was the same mistake again. My two cents.

January 2014, same problem. I reported it :)

Yes, she is most definitely saying "Lei MI ha scritto....." in full speed. This is a terrible recording, I have seen numerous complaints on the speaker's way of pronouncing, but it may be the recording that is the problem.
