Saying basic sentences without reading it first

[deactivated user]

I've been at it for some time now but I still feel inadequate to say basic sentences without reading it off something (it's bad). I think the problem is a mixture of different things but my question is, since I have no one to practice French with, what are some ways I could practice French verbally? I really feel like my learning will dramatically improve if I have actual methods. Thanks!

I would start looking for a Skype penpal of sorts, someone from France you could practice French with. Reddit may have some, I believe there's entire websites dedicated to that, but you'll have to find them for yourself.

I guess that's the best approach. Thanks for that.

I'm in a similar boat where I don't feel confident about my speaking and I also have no one to practice with, so I use an app called Tandem. There are lots of people on there trying to learn different languages, so you can exchange - you can learn from them and they can learn from you. The app allows you to do both written and audio messages, and also audio and video calls. It is very helpful.
