Is there a simple way to memorize grammar rules?
I can memorize words and what they translate to in English with ease. I can write them phonetically correct (because I usually don't spell words right due to the fact that I'm naturally a bad speller) and say the words alright, but when it comes to putting them in sentences, everything all goes wrong. For example, I don't remember which is the correct way to spell "mange" in a sentence to say, "They're eating." Please help me find a simple way to memorize grammar rules!
repetition. je mange, tu manges, il/elle/on mange, nous mangeons, vous mangez, ils/elles mangent. again. je mange, tu manges, il/elle/on mange, nous mangeons, vous mangez, ils/elles mangent. again and again and again. then, pick another verb. lather, rinse, repeat.
Duolingo proposes every day practice. I am learning 12 years french and now in the practice of English on Duo I remember the french words with same roots and I don't remember the English words
