Now voices not working at all in Italian!

This audio situation is going from bad to worse. Now there is no audio at all in the Italian listening exercises. Really frustrating that these constant audio problems can't be fixed.

Do you use the global strenghten button or do you open the single skill and start the strengthen / re-do lesson there?

I open the individual unit.

Thanks for feedback.

At least for EN-Portuguese the skill strengthen slow audio button most of the times works, only sometimes not.

However with the PT global strengthen skills button the "slow button" is corrupted, did not play, or for the past days plays as fast as the normal button.

Looks like they corrupted the audio / TTS system and even their different language courses behave differently (e.g Spanish new male voice, or your Italian example).

I am asking myself:

How can a developer / technical engineer corrupt a system (that worked before just fine!) that bad unwillingly - even without testing 2-4 weeks before?

Maybe they have migrated external services, libraries, deployed updates...?

Why don't they just re-deploy the last stable release and setup their own BETA test system to make fundamental detail tests the next 3-6 months?

Can't they rollback the last updates anymore for their production system? Why?

IMHO DuoLingo should be renamed at this stage to "DuoLingo - alpha testing web portal 2.0" ;)

Wow, I love all the detail you're able to provide and yes, it always amazes me when companies manage to screw up something that was working quite well, and then seem completely incapable of fixing their own screw-up. Happens a lot, not just here.

I just thought I would mention that the voice lessons are not working for least most of the time. Occasionally it will start talking to me, lol....I thought it was my computer, I am glad I came here to check!

It seems like the voice problem is getting worse, not better. Frustrating.
