male voice doesn't have slow version
The newly recorded male voice on some of the tests is the same speed in both options -- some of them are spoken so quickly, it's not possible to hear every syllable. Please record a slower version -- thank you!
I agree. It's really difficult. He speaks so quickly and is so different I cannot understand him and I swear no matter how many times I listen that he is not actually pronouncing all the words. Ela vai para a universidade came out as Ela vai paruniversidade (and that is one of the easiest to understand in his voice).
And yeah, no slow version. Both speeds are exactly the same. Makes me like the women's voices so much more.
I feel the same. I mean I like having a new voice reading the sentences, but sometimes I really need this slowed down version, and it not being there for the male voice is really annoying. I hope that will include the slowed down version soon. v__v
The voices are computer generated. They need to work out some bugs with the male voice.
I'm also doing the "learn English from Portuguese" course and the male voice in English has LOTS of problems. I've reported many mispronunciations but unfortunately I can no longer leave comments to say exactly where and how a word in an English sentence is mispronounced.
I think there are mispronunciations in Portuguese by the male voice, but I'm hesitant to report them.
I agree! So it's of no help for a learner. This is especially regrettable because the man already is mumbling a lot and can hardly - and often not at all - be understood. This produces frustration and unnecessary mistakes ....
I really hope it will be changed soon!
